Review Policy
How TVDom writes, scores, and maintains its film and TV reviews.
The Rating Scale
TVDom uses a 1–10 rating scale for all critic reviews. Here is what each tier means:
Scoring Criteria
Every TVDom critic review scores five dimensions:
- Story: Narrative structure, screenplay, pacing, originality
- Acting: Performance quality, casting, character development
- Visuals: Cinematography, production design, visual effects
- Music: Score, soundtrack, sound design
- Direction: Directorial vision, cohesion, formal ambition
The final rating is not an average of these scores — it is a holistic judgment that weighs them differently depending on the genre and ambition of the work.
Independence
TVDom does not accept screeners or review copies in exchange for positive coverage. We do not have commercial relationships with studios that could influence our scores. Reviews are not changed in response to studio or distributor pressure.
